Local History

Located in the Nene Valley, Oundle has been inhabited since Saxon times. Many of the Georgian stone houses have stood for more than 300 years. Discover our local history by visiting the Oundle Museum, located in the old courthouse, or our 14th-century church. There are also plenty of delightful independent shops and plenty of tea rooms to visit and every Thursday, there is a regular market selling fresh bread and local produce.
